On a nice warm Arizona morning at Firebird West, the stage was set for another exciting 944 spec race. F.I.R. West is a tight course with limited passing zones. Getting a good start and getting through the first set of turns clean was everyone’s game plan. We had two spec Miata’s joining in on the fun and mayhem. |

I’m told Thunderhill in August can be a cooker but I’m not sure I believe it as the weather for the August 21 & 22 races was beautiful. High 70’s to 80’s with a light wind was the order of the weekend and as long as you could find shade, you were in good shape. Action out on track provided the heat!  |

Two beautiful Northern California days were slipped in between spring storm this past weekend and the usual 944-Spec suspects took full advantage of them!
Thunderhill raceway played host to the latest round in the battle for the Norcal championship with perennial frontrunner Rick Lofgren having to fend off the challenge of points leader Sid Lee. |

Arizona Region - Geisler Gaining Momentum? |

The first 3 races of the season saw Austin Newmark take 3 straight wins. It took Rich Geisler the 2009 Regional Champion all the way to the 4th race of the season to take his first win of at Firebird Main in February. March and April saw the 944 spec crew back at PIR and then at Firebird Main for 4 more races bring the season to the halfway point. Can Geisler gain momentum on that Febuary win or will 2010 be struggle for 2009 Champion? Or can Paluch beat them all with consistancy?
